"We Answer the Call of Love"
By Julia Corbett-Hemeyer
In the face of hate,
We answer the call of love.
In the face of exclusion,
We answer the call of inclusion.
In the face of homophobia,
We answer the call of LGBTQ rights.
In the face of racism,
We answer of justice for all races.
In the face of xenophobia,
We answer the call of pluralism.
In the face of misogyny,
We answer the call of women’s rights.
In the face of demagoguery,
We answer the call of reason.
In the face of religious intolerance,
We answer the call of diversity.
In the face of narrow nationalism,
We answer the call of global community.
In the face of bigotry,
We answer the call of open-mindedness.
In the face of despair,
We answer the call of hope.
As Unitarian Universalists, we answer the call of love --
Now more than ever.

The Interdependent Web of Respect
- Jody Pogo
How will affirming and promoting our 7th principle: 'Respect for the interdependent web of all existence of which we are all a part' help us when so much disrespect seems to be going on around us. I'll share some insights.
We know your heart's as big as the blue barrel we use for collections, but this time we're using a blue bucket: smaller in size, but every bit as important. We're asking people to donate gas cards. They'll go to people helped by the Association for Prevention of Family Violence. The bucket will be on the table in the foyer. We appreciate your help.
Upcoming Meetings and Events:
- Feb 22nd Meals for the Men's Shelter due by 6pm
- Feb 25th Game Night and Potluck
Come and join us for a PotLuck/Game Night on Saturday February 25th at 5:00 at the church. The Membership Committee will be providing a Taco Bar for our guests and are asking our guests to bring a salad, dessert or refreshment to share. Also bring your favorite card game/board game along to add to the game selections for the evening.
HOPE TO SEE YOU THERE!!!

Now, more than ever, we stand with the LGBTQ community.
UU's have always stood on the side of love. We are happy that Marriage Equality is now nationwide.
Planning a wedding, renewal of vows, or commitment ceremony? Our sanctuary provides a cozy warm atmosphere for that special event. We've been ministering gay/lesbian couples for quite some time. Contact us if interested.
